The Boeing 777-200 Freighter with MSC livery landed in our Airport on Oct. 6th coming from Liege and took off to Tokyo. It was the first of flights that will operate on Fridays having departure time in Malpensa at 15.55 and arrival time in Tokyo at 15.00 lt, thus allowing the goods delivery within the following day.

The aircraft has a full load capacity of up to 100 tons and will be mainly dedicated to exporting high-added-value Made in Italy products, i.e. fashion and accessories – for Far East markets. “We are glad to welcome MSC Air Cargo in Malpensa and to eyewitness the first departure of their first flight here in Italy.

We hope that this will be the first step of an important development program for Malpensa where all the most important players of the aviation cargo are operating, thus contributing to the development of the surrounding area” said Francesco Raschi, Cargo & Real Estate VP. Jannie Davel, MSC Air Cargo Senior Vice President, added: “We are happy to be celebrating this important flight dedicated to the Italian market together with our customers. We are also proud to allow Italian precious goods with an efficient and weekly flight towards some of the most effervescent markets for the export of high-added-value products.

MSC Air Cargo development has just started and great investments are underway in order to create new transport solutions for those products that need efficiency and priority to be delivered, i.e. pharma products, perishable goods and even automotive products. We want to help the Italian market to have more and more options and ways of generating business with its commercial partners supporting export". Msc Air Cargo has been operating since the end of 2022, when they got the first Boeing 777-200 Freighter flying to Europe, Central America and Asia.

Today the fleet has 2 aircrafts and some new ones are coming. More than 35 companies together with local authorities were present at the inaugural event.
