Last 8th and 9th November our Airport hosted a delegation from Seoul Incheon Airport Logistic Area.
The visit focused on Malpensa cargo and it was an opportunity to show our guests, Mr. Sang-Yong Lee (Executive Director of Logistic Group) and Mr. Young-Jae Choe (Air Cargo Marketing Team Manager) our Cargo City. After a welcome moment at Malpensa Center, the delegation was accompanied for a site inspection through Cargo City warehouses, thus eye-witnessing how goods are handled and processed.

The second day, together with their partner Cargolux, Incheon delegation presented their logistic hub that is connected to Malpensa thanks to 9 weekly freighter frequencies, three of which are operated by Cargolux.

Generally speaking, Cargolux confirms first rank among the freighters operating in Malpensa that is its Cargolux Italia hub: in 2022 more than 80,000 tons were carried to and from Malpensa onboard more than 1000 Cargolux flights.

Incheon Airport, on the other hand, is an inspiring model considering its modern infrastructures that allow the management of ca. 3 million tons every year, making it the second hub in the world as to cargo volumes after Hong Kong.
