At Malpensa 25 tons of aid from China

Malpensa does not stop and even in the night between 23 and 24 March welcomed an important humanitarian load, a flight that took off from Beijing with 25 tons of aid: over 1.4 million masks, 155 lung fans, 205,000 latex gloves, 1,000 diagnostic kits and as many protective suits intended for the Lombardy Region, the Civil Protection and the Italian Red Cross.

Luca Ferrari, Ambassador of Italy to China states: "The aircraft freely made available by Neos represents, it is appropriate to say, a" gift from heaven ", which adds to the substantial donations and supplies medical supplies purchased from China and loaded aboard this first cargo flight organized by the Embassy. In a few hours the precious cargo will arrive in Milan to be immediately used in activities to combat the COVID-19 epidemic in Italy ".

This operation is also made possible by the Neos Air company, which has assigned one of its 787 Dreamliners to transport only medical supplies. The airline of the  Alpitour Group has built up excellent relationships with China over the years, allowing the realization of humanitarian flight in a very short time.
