In December, the Beta Trans freight handler also moved to the newly completed warehouse in the southern area of Cargo City in Malpensa, in a part of which another operator in the sector has already been operating for some months: WFS. The new building has an area of 15,000 square meters, is able to handle a total of around 200,000 tons of goods per year, and joins the FedEx structure which has been operating for about two years now.

Meanwhile, the construction site where DHL is building its new hub at Malpensa is working at full speed. The warehouse will have an area of 20,000 square meters and will be equipped with all the most advanced technologies for handling and sorting parcels, to allow the express courier to better face the challenges of e-commerce development in the coming years. Work is expected to end in spring 2020.
