    Despite the market weaknesses recorded in the last part of 2019, Malpensa airport closed the year with a total traffic of goods equal to about 550 thousand tons, slightly down (-2.3%) compared to the year previous one. 61% are transported by all-cargo aircraft, 29% travel in the holds of passenger aircraft while about 10% is attributable to express couriers and to the traffic of e-commerce products.

    The city of goods is the most important hub for air cargo in Italy. The dedicated structures include specialized warehouses for the assistance of all types of air freight: general cargo, special goods, pharmaceutical products and perishable express packages, e-commerce products are assisted with the utmost care in the freight terminals of the Cargo city by highly skilled operators qualified.

    An extensive freight aircraft apron is available to the airlines with 20 parking stands equipped with all the necessary services for fast and efficient ramping operations, aligned with the most advanced international standards (Hydrant refueling system, 400 htz energy connection, De-icing ...).
